We are a father and son team where my forty odd years of experience combine well with Darren’s uncanny practical abilities to allow us to create some astounding vehicles, all built to the highest standards and still retaining a very user friendly feel. Many ‘modified’ cars are in fact much worse than the factory original they are supposed to be an improvement upon. Many of them may be nice to look at but horrid to drive any distance. We pride ourselves on creating very useable vehicles which are also good at what they are designed to do and that is to be fast on road and track. That is also true of our full chassied cars which are every bit as practical as a production car, but with far more performance than was originally conceived. If you want an all out race car which will never see the public roads, then we can deliver that as well, but in reality, most people want to use their cars on the roads as much as possible, with limited track use. Even our ‘Company Vehicles’ like the GMC are ‘relatively’ practical to use for running around in, if you overlook the 15 MPG fuel consumption. We modified the suspension to lower the vehicle for better looks and to soften the ride when being used just as a tractor unit, but it is more than capable of pulling our artic trailer with the two race cars on board and accommodation for 6 adults. The Ford F350 only had one use when we bought it as a pick up truck, but we are converting it to be a tipper for use around the home and garden and for clearing rubbish out of the workshop. It easily converts to a tilt bed recovery truck and tow vehicle capable of taking two cars and 6 adults to any ‘local’ one day events when we don’t need the overnight accommodation that the GMC provides. The Studebaker on the other hand, just looks cool, or it will do when we eventually get our gearbox back from the reconditioners. It’ll be ready Friday.
