Escort Estate Cars and Vans We currently own three Escort Estate cars and one van, and every time we go out in one, people always say how rare they are and that they haven’t seen one for years. They should come to our house... The estate is a very practical vehicle to own, but it is not very valuable because those ‘damn rally boys’ don’t want them. That’s OK, just watch this space, because next year we plan something a little different with one of our estate Escorts. All the estates are as we bought them, so don’t blame me for putting forest arches on the blue one. The Mk 1 has a Pinto and 5 speed, the Mk 2 has dodgy arches and a 1600 crossflow and the 1.3GL now has Darren’s Burton engine and wheels on it. The Mk 1 van has been stored since 1975 and has covered only 29,000 miles.
